The Sun

Trapped in her eyes its a maze, is where I'm at
Gazing at this stage cause I'm up next
I refuse to walk on until there is no more collapse
No fear in the eyes of the afraid is a dark contrast
To have and to hold, are meaningless empty words
To love and to cherish are more obscene than absurd
Death of a dying world, is closer than a blank stare
Tell me I look better, when I'm standing by myself
The contentment of my soul is your bitter thoughts
I'd rather save my self, than to die heavy on your heart
That's the mindset of a generation
That's the world and not just the poverty stricken
But if reality is reality
Then a casualty is a casualty
So who really cares about the truth draining down the sink

Is it me?
Is it I?
Is it we?
Who made you king?
I killed the caged bird that use to sing
When I realized there is no more American dream
We're just floating by on a cloud, until something happens

A hero
A savior
Death to the politician
Death to the chaos which has made this world okay to live in
We have no morals, we have no heart
We have no give, all we have is want
I'll throw my two cents in, cause that's all I really have
I'll tell you what you don't want to hear, can you live with that?
Black is black and white is white
Grey is the mix of a culture and pride
What's left to decide?
Is it to stay or run?
All we have left is this life under the sun.
